A LONG TREK Devlog - 15-5-2021


First Devlog!

Hello, welcome to our first Devlog!! 

We've been making some good progress this week for the full release of A LONG TREK, and are still aiming for a Summer 2021 release! While these features won't be available just yet in the demo, keep your eyes peeled for future demo updates!

We've also had a few reports of lag towards the mid-section of the demo, which - while not addressed in this devlog - will get a patch within the coming weeks. Thank you for reporting these issues, as we don't always have the capacity to find issues like this ourselves, so it means the world if you report them!

Features

  • Complete redesign of Level 2 -- didn't like it, now we do!
  • New Trap! Air Blowers -- these can blow you off course or propel you into the sky! Be careful!


  • Jump and Fall Sprite changes -- sprites have been refined so the animations are easier to see!
  • Colour changes for around The Temple -- now it just looks so much better

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug where shadows weren't casting properly in some rooms
  • Fixed a bug where the player falls through the floor of a platform
